Melanie Gerard isn’t just the Chief Financial Officer here at Centrifuge – she’s one of our CMI founders!
Melanie has been with the company since day one (actually, several months before that) and says she feels fortunate to have a front row seat to the company’s growth and evolution since its origination in 2005. Melanie has been right there as Centrifuge blossomed from a primarily A/V production company into a world-renowned, full-service strategic communications agency for events and meetings with clients in the pharma, life sciences and bio tech sectors.
After working in medical education ‘lifetimes ago,’ Melanie and her business partner, Brian Rivers, saw an opportunity to launch an audiovisual event production company to fit the needs of these specific industries – 16 years and a lot of development later… here we are!
Life Outside of Centrifuge:
Melanie is originally from Long Island, New York and trekked down the East Coast to North Carolina looking for her first job after college. When not working, Melanie loves to golf with her husband of nearly 20 years (walking 9 or 18 is her new passion) and thoroughly enjoys spending time with her family and close friends. She has two teenage daughters who keep her and her husband on their toes. In the pre-pandemic era, there’s a good chance you’d bump into Melanie at a live concert!
