Jeff Smith came to Centrifuge as Strategy Lead in May of 2021 after a 30+ year career in broadcasting.

In broadcasting, Jeff covered everything from Presidents to professional athletes and the military. He received nominations for four Emmy Awards and one Associated Press Award. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a degree in Communications, where he was selected to the National Society of Leadership and Success for carrying a 4.0 GPA throughout. He also studied at Central Carolina and Campbell University and played collegiate baseball there.

Jeff is well-travel, having covered the military as an embedded journalist aboard a Navy sub, aircraft carrier, destroyer, Air Force Refueler and troop carrier, as well as spending time in the desert covering tank training with the Army. Additional documentary work covering Science Education in China and American World War Cemeteries in Belgium allowed him to visit historical sites and meet with Heads of State.

At CMI, Jeff uses his experience in broadcasting to help clients formulate strategies for targeted event messaging to ensure education and engagement.  He also uses his on-camera experience and presentation skills to coach clients on message delivery.
